Riley Neugebauer

Riley Neugebauer is based in Colorado, where she has spent the last 6 years installing residential and commercial solar and managing projects for small companies. She now works for a solar racking manufacturer, Unirac, and helps with technical training for customers throughout the southwest.

She created a non-profit called Solar for Women, focused on connecting and advocating for women in the solar trades, and ultimately with a goal to offer training for women.

She attended Allegheny College, graduating in 2004 with a Bachelor’s in Environmental Studies. She later completed a one-year certificate program in PV Design and Installation Program at San Juan College in 2007.

In addition to her work in solar, she also spent many years working in sustainability in higher education (at American University and Skidmore College), in local food systems, and as a farmer in Maine.

  • OSHA 30

In her off-time, Riley likes to hike, read, salsa dance, and eat vegetables.
